Become A Member

Becoming part of the NACWC means joining a network of thousands of members engaged in volunteer community service through 150 clubs worldwide. 

 

Our diverse members, ranging from ages 14 to 102, come from cities, suburbs, and rural areas across the globe. They include professional women, students, stay-at-home moms, and retirees, all united by a shared dedication to community service. NACWC members focus on a range of Community Service Programs, with special initiatives in Health & Wellness, Civic engagement, and economic empowerment.  These efforts are tailored to meet local needs and are backed by a national network that has supported over a century of service and success. Adult Clubs

  • Often referred to as women’s clubs, Adult Clubs make up the largest portion of our active membership. 

  • Adult Clubs offer a robust community for members who want to engage deeply in volunteer service, leadership, and advocacy.

  • Membership is available through a local club. Use our directory to find a club near you.

Young Adult Clubs

  • Young Adult Clubs are for women aged 18 to 25 who are attending university or college. These clubs provide a supportive network of peers focused on academic success, leadership, and service.

  • Young Adult Clubs foster engagement, community involvement, and a strong sense of purpose among college-aged women.

Youth Clubs

  • Available for children aged 5 to 17, Youth Clubs offer young people the opportunity to learn about leadership, community service, and civic engagement from an early age.

  • Through mentorship and activities, Youth Clubs inspire the next generation to uphold NACWC’s values and become future leaders.

General Members

General Membership in the National Association of Colored Women's Clubs (NACWC) is open to individuals who share our commitment to empowering African American women, advancing social justice, and making a positive impact in our communities. As a General Member, you’ll be part of a historic network dedicated to service, leadership, and advocacy, while gaining access to exclusive resources and opportunities.

Support NACWC as an Associate Member

Associate Membership is designed for individuals who may not be affiliated with a local Adult Club but still wish to contribute to and support the mission, vision, and policies of the National Association of Colored Women's Clubs (NACWC). As an Associate Member, you’ll have the opportunity to stay connected with NACWC’s work, participate in national initiatives, and receive regular updates about the organization’s impact.

Membership Dues

National Dues

Annual NACWC dues are $75 per local adult club member; $25 per local young adult member; and $15 per local youth member. 

 

Additional Dues

Clubs, Districts, State and Regional Federations may assess additional dues beyond the required National dues. Individual members pay dues to their local clubs, which then remit dues to their State Federations.
